4.5 Temperature measurements by thermocouple
These measurements refer to:
- The dry point detection thermocouple
- The heating element temperature measuring thermocouple
The calibration of these sensors can only be performed in simulation mode using the calibration
reference 60523.
The sensor measuring temperature of the heating block is adjacent to the instrument. The
calibration procedure does not allow calibrating several heating block thermocouples
(referred to as the ‘plate probe’).
The procedure offers only modification or display of calibration of the Pt dry point
thermocouple since calibration of this element is not critical: the instrument uses the sensor
to detect the dry point by a temperature variation. The absolute temperature values are thus
not critical.
The procedure is identical to the Pt 100 probe
calibration by simulation (see above), simply
simulate two temperature points (a minimum
of 80 °C apart).
4.6 Calibration of the barometric sensor
Barometric calibration allows modifying the calibration of the barometric sensor. Calibration is
performed by generating two atmospheric pressure values directly on the sensor.
Equipment required:
- One absolute standard reference pressure gauge
- One system allowing generating two pressures above and below atmospheric pressure
- One connection hose
