In order to ensure the same type of meniscus during calibration and measuring, it is
recommended carrying out calibration with the same type of liquid as the samples to be
analysed.
Procedure:
Equipment necessary:
- The test tube or test tubes to be calibrated.
- A 5 mL pipette or set of scales (range 200 G, accuracy 0.1 g and knowledge of exact
density).
- 120 mL of liquid similar to the samples.
Do not carry out calibration with water. The meniscus is contrary to that of
hydrocarbons.
Do not use extremely volatile liquids.
4.8 Calibration of the tactile pad
This function allows recalibrating the tactile pad with the screen. A utility is started and you are
requested to point at the points displayed on the screen.
4.9 Monitoring expiry of calibration deadlines
This function is not ticked on delivery of the
instrument.
