9.1 Guide to update instrument
9.2 Safety rules
NORMALAB NDI 450 distillation unit is a high quality instrument. The recommendations and
instructions in this document will allow you to update your instrument. Make sure you read and
understand this guide. Keep it close to the instrument so you can consult it easily.
9.3 General characteristics
The distillation unit is offering two microprocessor cards. One computer board under Windows XP
Embedded operating system for Man Machine Interaction (MMI software). And other computer
board under Free-Dos operating system for instrument process (For convenience, we call this
software "firmware"). To ensure this equipment provides the reliable prolonged service for which it
was designed, we emphasize the importance of updating or upgrading the MMI software and the
firmware on regular bases.
9.4 Content of new version
A new version includes adjustments, new improvements to features and services in NDI450 software.
This update replaces your current version of NDI450 software, and keeps your files and settings in
place in your instrument. You can check the new adjustments and features here:

9.5 How to get a new version
The recommended (and easiest) way to get NDI450 new software is to download on Normalab
Website. Download and save the appropriate files for your instrument from the Normalab NDI450
