bytes- specifies the number of bytes to examine. Range: 1-99.
DISK FORMAT
The DISK FORMAT command allows the user to format a selected disk
drive.
Example of command usage
Use the following command to format a disk drive.
>DISK FORMAT drive (cr)
where:
drive - specifies the disk drive (A or B).
The system responds with the following messages:
DISK FORMAT STARTED
FORMAT DONE
DISK IOREAD
The DISK IOREAD command displays the contents of the specified disk
processor I/O port address.
Example of command usage
To display the contents of the specified I/O port address, enter the following
command:
>DISK IOREAD port (cr)
CAUTION
This command should only be used under the direct
supervision of experienced support personnel.
CAUTION
Use of the DISK FORMAT command may cause loss of
data. Ensure that the operational disk drive is in DISK
ONLY mode prior to entering commands.
