HIGH FLOW INSUFFLATION UNIT UHI-4
Pressure
indications
Set pressure
indication
Cavity pressure bar graph: Green lights to show
the cavity pressure setting (1-point indication)
(during operation mode, the indication will blink).
Cavity pressure digital indicator: Dark green
indicates the set pressure.
Pressure
indication
Cavity pressure bar graph: All LEDs up to the
cavity pressure value will light green.
Cavity pressure digital indicator: White indicates
the cavity pressure.
Tolerance of cavity pressure: 2.7 mmHg
Cavity pressure settings Cavity pressure can be adjusted in 1 mmHg
increments between 3 and 25 mmHg.
To set pressure for 21 mmHg at 20 mmHg, press
cavity pressure control switch continuously for
3 seconds.
Previous pressure setting is retained. Selected
pressure setting is placed into memory. For
safety reasons, settings at 21 mmHg or higher
are memorized as 20 mmHg.
Cavity
pressure
alarm
Excessive
pressure
An alarm will sound and the caution lamp for
excessive pressure will light if the cavity pressure
exceeds the set pressure by 5 mmHg or more.
If the condition described above continues for
10 seconds or more, suction will be activated.
Suction will stop when the cavity pressure is
reduced to the set pressure.
Tube
obstruction
If the tube or filter is obstructed, or insufflation is
performed into an abnormally small cavity, e.g.,
subcutaneously, insufflation will be interrupted and
the caution lamp for tube obstruction will light. The
alarm will sound until the obstruction is removed.
Relief mode When relief mode is set to ON (active) and the
cavity pressure is 5 mmHg or more above the set
pressure, the gas is released through the internal
channel until the cavity pressure readout reaches
the set pressure.
Flow rate control As long as there is a difference between cavity
pressure and the set pressure, insufflation is
performed at the set flow rate.
As the cavity pressure approaches the set
pressure, the flow rate is gradually decreased.
When the cavity pressure reaches the set
pressure, insufflation will stop.
