Recording Using External Mics or Other Input Devices Connected to the Recorder [External Input]
Recording audio from another device with this recorder
The recorder can record audio playback from music players and other audio devices via
line-in input.
NOTE
• Confirm that the device and
connecting cable are equipped
with line-in connectors and select
[Line In] for [External Input]. For
information on choosing an input
device, see “Choosing an Input
Device” (☞ P. 53).

Connect the music player to
the recorder’s microphone/line
jack ( ).

Start recording.
• See “Recording” (☞ P.35) for
descriptions of recording operations.
NOTE
• Do not connect cables to or
disconnect cables from the jack
during recording.
• When recording from a connected
external device, perform a test
recording and adjust the output level
of the connected device as needed.
TIP
• Audio can be recorded when you
have connected the audio output
terminal (earphone jack) of another
device and the microphone/line
jack (
) of the recorder by using the
connecting cord KA333 (optional) for
duplication.
