  If the Oriental motor Engine fails to turn, ensure that both START/STOP input or RUN/BRAKE input are set to the ON position. Also, the internal potentiometer might not be adjusted; try turning it slightly clockwise, as the speed is set to 0 r/min at the time of shipment. If using the internal potentiometer, verify that the INT. VR/EXT input is set to ON. If using an external potentiometer or DC voltage, make sure the INT.VR/EXT input is set to OFF and check the connections of the external potentiometer or DC voltage.

  If the stopping time is long for the Oriental motor Engine, and the stopping method is wrong, consider these solutions: * Check the stopping method. In the 3-wire mode, stopping by turning the RUN/BRAKE input OFF differs from turning the START/STOP input OFF. In the 2-wire mode, stopping when the STOP-MODE input is ON differs from when it is OFF. * The load inertia may be too large. Increase the frictional load or reduce the load inertia.

  If the Oriental motor Engine rotates in the opposite direction, check the following: * The ON-OFF operation of the FWD/REV input might be used incorrectly, or the FWD/REV input might not be connected correctly. Check the connection and the ON-OFF status of the signal, using the internal I/O monitor or D-I/O monitor. * The setting of the "Motor rotation direction" parameter may have been changed. The motor rotates forward when the FWD/REV input is ON. The forward rotation setting can be configured with the "Motor rotation direction" parameter (initial value: +=CW).

  If the Oriental motor Engine fails to stop instantaneously, and you are stopping the motor using the START/STOP input, try using the RUN/BRAKE input instead. Also, the load inertia might be excessive, so increase the frictional load or reduce the load inertia. Check the setting of the acceleration/deceleration time potentiometer, as the deceleration time may be too long.
