CONNECTING TO POWER AND GROUNDING
The combiner operates from low voltages, and does not contain hazardous voltages.
The mains power supply input of the instrument complies with overvoltage category II. It has to be
connected to a fixed installation used to supply energy-consuming equipment such as household
appliances and similar loads. Be aware that electrically powered products have risks, such as electric
shock, fire, personal injury or even death.
Take the following measures for your safety:
Before switching on the product, ensure that the voltage and frequency indicated on the product match
the available power source.
Only use the power cable delivered with the product. It complies with country-specific safety
requirements. Only insert the plug into an outlet with protective conductor terminal.
Only use intact cables and route them carefully so that they cannot be damaged. Check the
power cables regularly to ensure that they are undamaged. Also ensure that nobody can trip over
loose cables.
In the event where the power cord has to be replaced, please make sure to use a power cord
that meets the following characteristics :
o Connector on wall plug side: in accordance to the local standard
o Connector type on device side: C13
o Current Rating: 10 A
Use the power supply that is delivered with the product or that is recommended in the product
documentation or a power supply that conforms to the country-specific regulations.
Ensure that you can disconnect the product from the power source at any time. Pull the power
plug to disconnect the product. The power plug must be easily accessible. If the product is
integrated into a system that does not meet these requirements, provide an easily accessible
circuit breaker at the system level.
HOW TO CLEAN THE PRODUCT
Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product. When cleaning, keep in mind that the casing is not
waterproof. Do not use liquid cleaning agents.
LASER SAFETY
The L4Cc and L6Cc are sources of laser radiations, which present specific dangers.
Light produced by a laser source exhibits several proprieties that make it much different from sunlight or
from the light emitted from a bulb. These proprieties induce specific hazards associated during operation
and service of the laser source:
- Lasers light sources produce a highly intense light, either visible or invisible to the human eye,
- Laser light is coherent, which means that it can build stable interferences: vivid patterns that
are more intense than non-coherent light of the same wavelength and power,
- Laser beams are often collimated or have a low divergence, so that they maintain their harmful
proprieties over long distances.
