Contact your Oxxius representative to learn about the exact power consumed by your model, or for
detailed guidance on this topic.
RACK-MOUNTED COMBINER
The combiner and its accessories can be installed in a 19-inches rack using a rack adapter kit, such as the
ACX-RACK-L4CC. If you mount product in a rack, ensure that the rack has a sufficient load capacity.
Observe the specifications of the rack manufacturer.
Please contact your local representative to obtain the compatible references and the mass of your
combiner.
ABOUT OPTICAL FIBERS
A specific attention is required with fiber optic patch cables, which should not, under any circumstances,
be bent nor receive mechanical damage (shear stress, punching, etc.). An optical fiber is made of glass
and is a fragile component. The user is required to handle the patch cable and their optical connectors
with care, as well as to have the necessary tools and knowledge to inspect and clean the end tip of the
optical connector. These tools are:
- A specific microscope to inspect the end tip of the fiber. Oxxius recommends using a 200x
magnification microscope, such as the “FS201” available from www.thorlabs.com
- Some consumables to clean the optical connectors. Oxxius recommends using lint-free wiping
material, such as the “type A” CLETOP tools available from NTT-AT.
