Entering patient test results using the Other Test Entry
feature comprises the following steps:
■ Enter the patient ID.
■ Enter the date and time the test was performed.
■ Enter or confirm the test strip, kit and/or other
reagent lot numbers.
■ Enter the test strip, kit and/or other reagent expira-
tion date the first time a lot number is entered.
■ Enter the onboard control result(s) if available.
■ Enter the test result(s).
■ Select appropriate comments.
This can be done either manually or by using the
barcode scanner.
