Display Description Cause of error / Troubleshooting
ERROR: 7
The maximum room temperature exceeded.
• The internal temperature of the
controller has exceeded a factory-set
limit value.
• Factory set to 50°C.
• Possible causes:
- insufficient or incorrect ventilation
of the kiln
- operating location too small
- ventilation grille blocked
- exhaust air flap not closed
- controller mounted too close to
the kiln
ERROR: 8
Internal data conversion circuit (ADC) error
Please contact your local specialist or
ROHDE Service.
ERROR: 9
Only applies to multi-zone kilns:
The maximum permissible temperature difference
between two heating zones has been exceeded.
The temperature difference between
heating zone 2 or 3 and heating zone 1
has exceeded the preset limit of 30°C.
Notes:
• Each of the listed error messages leads to the termination of the firing process.
• Terminating the firing process protects the kiln from damage.
• The alarm buzzer will sound once per second.
• To reset the controller, turn off the power to the device and have the fault investigated and
rectified by your installer or kiln service engineer.
Technical note:
The safety contactor switch output is opened by the error messages.
9.4. Firing program errors

ERROR: P
Program error:
• This error message is displayed if a
potential error is detected within
the firing program when the j
key is pressed to start a firing.
• A buzzer sounds three times and
the segment number at which an
error may have occurred appears
on the segment display.
• Press the g key and the error message will be
deleted.
• The controller now changes to programming
mode.
• The program in which the error may have
occurred can be called up and changed if
necessary.
• Typical programming faults:
− When entering the firing program, the
maximum permissible temperature preset on
the controller was exceeded.
− When entering the firing program, the value
"END" was not entered at the end of the
firing program.
• If no fault is found, then press the j key again to
force the firing program to start.
