4:4:4 Process Settings
444 VIDEO MATRIX Screen
When “MATRIX” has been specied as the 4:4:4 M/E mode, tapping <444 VIDEO M/E> displays the 444 VIDEO MATRIX screen.
At this screen you can; switch output video, change cross-point assignments, and perform other such tasks.
FORMAT selection button
You can change the setting values within the ranges shown below.

Description
XPT 1–4
This selects which video to output to HDMI 1 or HDMI 2.
Tapping a channel switches the output video from HDMI OUT 1 or HDMI OUT 2. The
transition eect applied at this time is specied using TRANSITION” at the 444 VIDEO
MATRIX screen.
SG ON (lighted), OFF(dark)
When this is set to ON, the test pattern selected using “SIGNAL GENERATOR” at the 444
VIDEO MATRIX screen is output.
FTB ON (lighted), OFF(dark)
When this is set to ON, a fade to a black screen lasting the number of seconds set using “FTB
TIME” is performed.
The FTB text color changes to black during the fade and changes to white when the fade
ends.
Tapping <FTB> again while the fade is in progress makes the fade nish instantly.
SETUP
Tapping this displays the SETUP screen for making cross-point assignments, scaler settings,
and the like. For information on the SETUP screen, refer to “444 VIDEO MATRIX SETUP
Screen (p. 55).

480i/576i (*1), 480p/576p (*1), 720p, 1080i,
1080p, 1024x768, 1280x720, 1280x800,
1366x768, 1280x1024, 1400x1050,
1600x1200, 1920x1080, 1920x1200
This selects the 4:4:4 process format.
* You can also use the “FORMAT Screen (4:4:4)” (p. 59) to change the 4:4:4 process format.
HDCP ON, OFF
This sets HDCP signals ON or OFF. Setting this to ON enables HDCP-applied HDMI signals to
be input, and also applies HDCP to the output video sent via HDMI OUT 1 and 2. Setting this
to OFF makes input and output of HDCP-protected video impossible.
For information on HDCP, refer to About Copyright Protection (HDCP)” (p. 11)
* Audio in an HDCP-applied HDMI signal cannot be input even when HDCP is turned on.
TRANSITION
TIME 0.0–1.0–5.0 sec
This sets the video transition time for when video is switched using a cross point.
* This is enabled only when TRANSITION PATTERN is set to “MIX.
PATTERN CUT, MIX This selects the transition eect applied when video is switched using a cross point.
LINK ON, OFF
When this is set to ON, the following three functions are interlinked for HDMI 1 and HDMI 2.
5 When a cross point for HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 switches to a dierent channel, the other HDMI
cross point is also switched to the same channel.
5 Tapping <FTB> for either HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 applies fade to both channels at the same
time.
5 Tapping <SG> for either HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 turns <SG> on for both channels.
SIGNAL
GENERATOR
PATTERN
MATTE, 75% COLOR BAR, 100% COLOR
BAR, RAMP, STEP, HATCH, FRAME
This selects a test pattern.
COLOR H 0–359 This sets the hue for MATTE.
COLOR S 0–255 This sets the saturation for MATTE.
COLOR V 0–255 This sets the brightness for MATTE.
FTB TIME 0.0–1.0–5.0 sec This sets the length in time of the fade to a black screen when FTB is tapped.
(*1) This is 480i when the frame rate is set to 59.94 Hz or 576i when the frame rate is set to 50 Hz.
Setting the frame rate is done at the “PROCESSOR SETUP Screen” (p. 78).
