3. Connect the First Oscilloscope CH1 and CH2 right and left channel to the
Second RSS Source Selector Output jacks right and left. There are two sets of
jack on the output side. There are 16 sets of jacks on the input side.
4. Connect 6 MDK-C5 Rev 1 keypads to the Keypad Ports of the MCA-C3 using
a T568A standard patch cable. Keypads must be programmed and tested.
5. Connect the RCK (Russound Control Keypad) to the first RSS via 2 cables
with 110 punch down connectors attached.
Note: Refer to Fig 1 and 2 in the Appendix for RCK to RSS number 1
connection
6. Connect the Zone 1-8 110 punch down connector of the RSK to the second
RSS left 110 punch down connector when viewed from the Fig 1 and 2
pictures in Fig 1 in the appendix.
Note: The RSS controls both Zone and Source selection during testing.
The IBM PC controls the RSS via the RVCLIScripter commands.
7. Connect the IBM PC Comm 1 port to the RCK DB9 plug.
The RCK plug will have a gender changer attached to it.
8. J15 on the RCK will have a jumper on two pins closest to the DB9 connector.
J16 on the RCK will have a jumper on two pins closest to R10.
9. The RCK and all RSS are powered by a 12V 1A power pack. Connect
the ground, negative, pin of each power pack together.
10. Connect the MCA-C3 Link In cable to one of the RJ45 plugs on the
IR Switcher PCB J14.
Connect the MCA-C3 Link Out cable to other RJ45 plug on the
IR Switcher PCB J14.
11. Connect a 12V 1A power pack to the IR Switcher.
