Whenstartingonthemountainroad,the
AutoHoldsystemdoesnotalwaysstabilize
thevehicleorcontrolthevehicleonthe
downhillroad(forexample,whendrivingon
wetoricyroad).
Neverleavethevehiclewhentheengineis
operatingandtheAutoHoldfunctionhas
beenturnedon.
NotinallconditionscantheAutoHold
systemmaketheelectricparkingbrakework
aftershutdown.Makesurethattheelectric
parkingbrakeworksandthevehicleisstable
beforeleaving.
BesuretoturnofftheAutoHoldfunction
beforeenteringthecarwasher,ortheelectric
parkingbrakemayswitchonautomatically,
whichwillcausedamage.
Whentheengineisoperatingandthevehicleparks
frequentlyorforlongtime(forexample,waitbeforethe
trafclights,parkontheslopeormoveintheslowtrafc
ow),theAutoHoldfunctioncanassistthedriverin
stabilizingthevehicleandpreventthevehiclefrommoving,
soitisunnecessaryforthedrivertodepressthebrake
pedalallthetime.
Whenthedriverdepressestheacceleratorpedaltostart
thevehicle,theAutoHoldfunctionwillloosenthebrake
immediately,andthenthevehiclestartstomoveaccording
tothegradientoftheroad.
TheAutoHoldfunctionhasthreestatesnormally:
1Shutdown:Thefunctionisshutdown.
2Standby:Thefunctionisinstandbystateandthe
indicationfunctionhasbeenactivatedbutthevehicle
doesnotpark.Thereiscorrespondingtext“Auto
HoldStandby”shownontheinstrument.Inthisstate,
thevehiclewillparkautomaticallyoncetheparking
conditionsaremet.
