Dismantle the lower piston / replace the O-ring
Damaged cylinder walls and pistons no
longer function reliably. For this reason
when dismantling / assembling this com-
ponent, make sure that no scratches are
caused. Work very carefully.
Preparation
Disassemble the brewing unit
Service
1. Remove the circlip, “peel it off” over the gear wheel
2. Very carefully move the lower piston out of the brewing
cylinder
3. Remove the O-ring; then
4. Check the O-ring and decide if you will replace it with a
new one or reinstall it
5. Lightly grease the O-ring with grease suitable for food
applications (article no. 067399) and pull the piston up.
6. Check the drill hole for the brewing water inlet: Is it calci-
fied or clogged? Clean it if necessary
7. Insert the lower piston into the brewing cylinder
8. Refit the circlip
