6.6 C-NET detector line
Up to 126 devices for FC361-xx and 252 devices for FC362-xx (126 devices per
loop), such as automatic fire detectors (e.g. smoke or heat detectors), manual call
points, I/O modules and other ↑ C-NET components, can be connected to the
C-NET ↑ detector line.
The connection for the C-NET detector line is on the main board. Most line
devices, such as fire detectors, are supplied directly by C-NET with the required
operating voltage. FDCI723 and special applications with I/O modules require an
external power supply.
The picture below shows the C-NET detector line connection with peripheral
devices.
Fig. 8: Overview of FC360 C-NET detector line
● Max. 252 devices can be connected to FC362-xx. Otherwise, the panel
reports an overload fault.
● Max. 32 devices can be connected to a single stub as per EN 54-2.
Line separator
All C-NET devices have an integrated ↑ line separator.
In the event of a short-circuit in the ↑ C-NET wiring, the line separators adjacent to
the wiring fault are opened and the faulty cable segment is shut down. The
↑ C-NET devices remain functional and ready to detect. The fault is displayed on
the panel.
