6.4 Changing the addressing schematic
The selected addressing schematic determines the principle according to which the I/O
addresses of the telegrams are assigned by drive objects and influences the address range that
is available for other purposes.
This addressing schematic is thus valid for the SINAMICS Integrated of the NCU as well as all
NX modules. The addressing schematic is also assigned to NX modules that were connected
retrospectively.
You can choose between two different I/O addressing schematics:
● Standard I/O addressing schematic
– Addressing schematic as familiar from SINUMERIK Toolbox for STEP 7 V5.x
– The available address range for diagnostic addresses or additional peripherals is divided
up and available at the start and at the end of the overall address range.
– The I/O addresses of the telegrams are assigned in the middle of the address range and
correspond to the presetting in the machine data.
● I/O addressing schematic optimized for I/O address extension
– Larger, coherent address range for diagnostic addresses or additional peripherals at the
start of the overall address range.
– The telegram I/O addresses are assigned in descending order from the end of the overall
address range and must be entered in the machine data (Page 142).
