Example: Access of OPC UA clients to the OPC UA server of the CPU
For access of an OPC UA client to the OPC UA server of the CPU, the following interfaces of
the S7-1500 station are available:
● The local PROFINET interfaces of the S7-1500 CPU
● The Ethernet interface of a CP 1543-1 (firmware version V2.2 and higher)
The following figure shows an example of a possible configuration: The CPU could also have
the role OPC UA client and the device on the subnet of the CP could have the role OPC UA
server.
