For scales requiring official calibration, the specification must be greater than the minimum
weight for weighing range 2 and is dependent on the number and type of connected load cell(s).
Minimum weight weighing range 3 [minWeightWeighingRange3]
For scales not requiring official calibration, you can use the default value 0.
For multi-interval scales requiring official calibration, the minimum load for weighing range 3
corresponds to the maximum load of weighing range 2. The parameter is defined during
calibration/official verification and specified in the unit of weight.
With multi-range scales requiring official calibration, 20 times the scale interval of the weighing
range 3 is usually entered.
Maximum weight weighing range 3 [maxWeightWeighingRange3]
For scales not requiring official calibration, you can use the default value 0.
For scales requiring official calibration, the specification must be greater than the minimum
weight for weighing range 3 and is dependent on the number and type of connected load cell(s).
6.5.7 Multi range / multi interval scale [multiRangeMultiIntervalScale]
Defines whether the electronic weighing system is to operate as multi-range or multi-interval
scales.
For scales not requiring official calibration, the parameter can be ignored.

Multi-range scales
The electronic weighing system can be operated as single-, dual- or triple-range scales. The
individual ranges differ in terms of the maximum load and the scale interval.
Example
Triple-range scales with an interval of 6000 steps in each weighing range:
Weighing range 1: 10 – 3000 kg / 0.5 kg
Weighing range 2: 20 – 6000 kg / 1.0 kg
Weighing range 3: 40 – 12000 kg / 2.0 kg
With the multi-range scales, the scales automatically change from the lower weighing range to
the next higher weighing range when loaded if the respective maximum weight is exceeded.
A switch to the lower weighing range only takes place when the gross zero point is passed.
In this case, the scales automatically change back to weighing range 1.
When defining a multi-range scale, the maximum weights and scale intervals of the weighing
ranges need to be defined in ascending order. The minimum weights generally correspond to
20 times the scale interval of the respective weighing range.
