6.2.3 Executing commands
Introduction
Data records (DR) are read or written via specific command codes. There are three command
mailboxes within the interface DB for this purpose.
The command mailboxes are managed and processed according to priority. When all three
command mailboxes are triggered at the same time by the user program, the FB executes them
in the following order:
Command
mailbox
Priority Description
Command1 Highest priority If you run cyclic commands in the "Command1" command
mailbox, this makes it impossible to run commands in the
"Command2" or "Command3" command mailbox.
Command2 Medium priority
Command3 Lowest priority Cyclic commands from the "Command3" command mail‐
box are interrupted to run a command in the "Command2"
or "Command1" command mailbox.
You can find a list of all commands in section: Commands (Page 111).
Requirement
You have called the FB (Page 41).
Procedure
1. Open the interface DB.
2. In one of the command mailboxes "Command1", "Command2" or "Command3", enter a
command code for the parameter "code".
