Message frame type
The ADI4 DP slave is operated with a specific message frame type:
4 axes, each with one encoder (standard message frame 3) and I/O data



Setting the message frame type
By default, no message frame type is selected. The ADI4-specific message frame type must
be explicitly selected in the "Configuration" tab.
1. In the "DP Slave Properties" dialog box, select the "Configuration" tab.
2. In the "Default" list, select the entry "4 axes, each with one encoder, Standard message
frame 3 + IO, PZD-5/9 O/I 1/1".
3. Click "OK".
Message frame structure
The message frame is structured as follows:
