Software Installation
For software versions 2.0 and higher:
Use the MO disk and the set of CDs (compact disks) provided by Siemens
to install system host software and DIMAQ software. The MO disk installs
system host software. The CDs install DIMAQ software.
Caution: Use extreme caution with these software installation procedures. Do
not leave CD 1 in the CD drive when not installing software. If CD 1 is in the CD
drive when you cycle power to the ultrasound system (other than during
software installation procedures), then CD 1 overwrites the system's hard disk.
Caution: When you use CD 1 for DIMAQ software installation, the system
removes all patient data stored on the system's hard disk. To maintain records,
archive the patient data before installing DIMAQ software (using CD 1).
For software versions below 2.0:
System host software and DIMAQ software require installation by your
Siemens service representative.
