3. Place the lid (2) back on the blender jug (4). To do this, first twist the lid (2) anticlockwise gently
towards the so that the catches on the edge of the lid (2) fit into the gaps on the blender jug (4).
Press the lid (2) onto the blender jug (4) and twist the lid (2) gently clockwise towards the until it
locks into place. Make sure that the safety catch (3) is also seated in the recess on the top of the
handle of the blender jug (4).
9.2 Attaching the blender jug to the motor unit
WARNING!
If the rotary switch (5) is set at one of the various power levels, the blender will power on as
soon as you place the blender jug (4) on the motor unit (7) and close the lid (2).
1. If the mains plug is connected to the mains socket, remove it from the mains socket.
2. Check that the rotary switch (5) of the blender is in the “0” position.
3. Place the blender jug (4) onto the motor unit (7). Make sure that the handle on the blender jug (4) is
pointing to the right. The arrow ▼ at the bottom of the blender jug (4) should be pointing to the arrow
▲ on the motor unit (7). If necessary, twist the blender jug (4) gently to and fro until the blender jug
(4) drops down onto the motor unit (7).
4. Connect the power cable (6) plug to a live mains socket.
