The quickest and easiest way to clean the blender jug (4) inside is to rinse it briefly under the tap and then
proceed as follows:
1. Fill the blender jug (4) with approx. 750ml water.
2. Add a few drops of washing-up liquid, close the lid (2) and place the blender jug (4) on the motor
unit (7).
3. Connect the mains plug on the power cord (6) to a mains socket and move the rotary switch (5) to
the “P” position a few times.
4. Rinse the blender jug (4) out with plain water.
This will generally be sufficient to clean the cutting blades and the interior of the blender jug (4). If the
results are not satisfactory, proceed as described in the chapter on ‘Cleaning the blender jug manually’.
11.1 Cleaning the motor unit
Risk of electric shock!
• Always remove the plug from the mains socket before cleaning the motor unit (7). This
could result in an electric shock.
• Do not pour or spray any liquids onto the motor unit (7) and do not immerse it in water or
other liquids. This could cause short circuits which could result in electric shocks or fires.
Warning about property damage
Do not use abrasive or astringent detergents or tools which could scratch the motor unit (7)
surface. This could cause damage to the motor unit (7) housing.
Clean the motor unit (7), the plastic components and the power cable (6) with a slightly damp cloth. For
stubborn dirt, add a little detergent to the damp cloth. Then dry all parts carefully.
11.2 Cleaning the lid and measuring cap
You can clean the lid (2) and the measuring cap (1) in the dishwasher or wash it up with washing-up liquid
and warm water. Rinse all parts with clean water and dry them thoroughly.
11.3 Cleaning the blender jug manually
Risk of injury
Never reach into the blender jug (4) because the cutting blades are extremely sharp.
You can clean the blender jug (4) with washing-up liquid and warm water. To remove stubborn dirt inside
the blender jug (4) you can use a long-handled washing-up brush or bottle brush.
Then rinse the blender jug (4) with clean water and dry it well.
For stubborn dirt, you can also disassemble the blender jug (4) as follows and then clean it.
