MAPNET II@ POINT ADDRESSING
Each MAPNET II@ device must have a point address in order to communicate with the 4020 system. These point
addresses, along with their custom labels, are located in the Programmer’s Report. The Programmer’s Report
shows the address for each device, separated by hyphens. Hyphens must be used when entering a MAPNET II@
address into the system. An example of a MAPNET II. device address is “Ml -5”. The “Ml fl portion of the address
identifjes the MAPNET 11~ channel, Channel 1. The “5” portion of the address identifies the device number, Device
Number 5. The only valid MAPNET IIQ channels for the 4020 are Channels 1 and 2.
HOW TO DISPLAY A MAPNET II@ SYSTEM POINT
For MAPNET Ileo operations, see Section 8, “How to Use Prefix Keys to Display System Points.” This procedure also
shows the Programmer’s Report for MAPNET Ilc addresses.
WHAT TO DO IF A MAPNET II@J POINT WILL NOT RESET
If a MAPNET ll@~ device will not reset, you may decide to disable the point with the <DISABLE> key. When the disable
procedure is performed, a System Trouble occurs to remind you that the point is disabled. The disable procedure is
the same for all system points (see Section 2, “How to Disable a Point”). Maintenance personnel must be called
immediately to repair the malfunction.
After the MAPNET II@ monitor point is repaired, you can enable the point again (see Section 9, “How to Enable a
Disabled Point”). This procedure is the same for all system points.
