BACKUP VOICE TONE GENERATOR (562-896)
Features and Functions
An optional card that, if used, provides a backup voice/tone generator (VTG), and a relay which automatically
switches from the primary VTG (on the host card) to the backup VTG (on this card) when the primary VTG fails.
NOTE:
Both primary and backup VTGs simultaneously play duplicate messages. Hence, a switch from the primary
to the backup VTG can occur without message interruption.

The switching signal is controlled by the primary VTGs CPU.

When mounted on an Audio Controller Board, Pl plugs into Socket J3; when mounted on the 562-972 Message
Expansion Card, Pl plugs into Socket Jl .
