BACKUP VOICE TONE GENERATOR (562-896)
Features and Functions
An optional card that, if used, provides a backup voice/tone generator (VTG), and a relay which automatically
switches from the primary VTG (on the host card) to the backup VTG (on this card) when the primary VTG fails.
NOTE: Both primary and backup VTGs simultaneously play duplicate messages. Hence, a switch from the primary
to the backup VTG can occur without message interruption.
l The switching signal is controlled by the primary VTG’s CPU.
