NOTE:
When configured as 565-028, this board is used as the 8A Expansion Power Supply. When configured as
565-079, this board is used as the power supply for the 1 OOW amplifier.
Component Locations and Functions (Figure 32)
LED1
Lights when the board detects any of the following troubles:
l
Low or disconnected batteries
l
Loss of raw (rectified) DC
l
Blown fuses.
Fuses
Fl and F2 = 5A non-replaceable output fuses (missing from 565-079 boards)
F3 = 15A replaceable input fuse (outputs raw DC).
F4 = 12A replaceable output fuse (missing from 565028 boards).
Jumpers
Jl or J2 = J2 if Expansion Power Supply is furthest from the master power supply. Otherwise Jl.
NOTE:
Jumper Jl/J2 is used for Power Module Supervision (PMS). When more than one expansion power supply
is used in a system, the power supplies are daisy-chained together. Only the LAST supply in the daisy-
chain (the power supply that is electrically the furthest from the master power supply) should have J2
selected; all other expansion power supplies must have Jl selected.
J3 or J4 = J4 if switch-to-battery signal is used. Otherwise J3.
J5 or J6 = J6 if switch-to-battery signal is used. Otherwise J5.
J7 or J8 = J7 if standby batteries are used. Otherwise J8.
J9 or JlO = J9 for a 565-028 board; JlO for a 565-079 board.
Connectors and Connector Pins
Pl and P6 = 2-pin connectors. 24VDC output from Fuse F2 (not used on 565-079 boards).
l
Pin 1 = +24VDC.
l
Pin 2 = 24VDC COMMON.
P2 = 4-pin connector.
l
P2-1 = PMSO (Power Module Supervision Output). Normally OV; +24V when trouble is in PMS circuit.
l
P2-2 = COIL. Normally OV; +24V during brownout.
l
P2-3 = 24VDC COMMON.
l
P2-4 = Unused.
P3 = 3-pin connector.
l
P3-1 = PMSI(Power Module Supervision Input). Normally OV; +24V when trouble is in PMS circuit.
l
P3-2 = COIL. Normally OV; +24V during brownout.
l
P3-3 = 24VDC COMMON.
P4 and P5 = 2-pin connectors. 24VDC output from Fuse Fi (Fuse F4 on 565-079 boards).
l
Pin 1 = +24VDC.
l
Pin 2 = 24VDC COMMON.
