P3 and P4 = 3-pin Phone Line Out and Phone Line Return connectors, respectively. P3 connects to pins 1 thru
3 of the first applicable signal cards Phone Input Connector; P4 connects to pins 4 thru 6 of the last
applicable cards Phone Input Connector. Use 733-578, 733-579, or 733-580 harness(es).

P3-1 = + Phone Line Out.

P3-2 = - Phone Line Out.
l
P3-3 = SHIELD.
l
P4-1 = + Phone Line Return.
l
P4-2 = - Phone Line Return.
l
P4-3 = SHIELD.
NOTE:
See Signal Cards, Notes 4 and 5, for more information.
P5 = 2-pin connector. Phone output. Connects via 733-858 harness to Connector P4 on the Audio Controller Board.
If connected (and the system is properly programmed), this-allows the Master Phone to act as a microphone
in an audio system.

P5-1 = + Phone to Audio (Talk +).
l
P5-2 = - Phone to Audio (Talk -).
P6 = 4-pin connector. Connects via 733-575 harness to Master Phone.
l
P6-1 and P6-2 = Master Phone connections.
l
P6-3 = Normally OV. 24VDC when phone off hook.
l
P6-4 = 24VDC.
P7 = 2-pin connector. Connects to the Inductor (found within the box the phone card mounts on).
P8 and P9 = 4-pin Serial Comm Connectors. P8 connects via 733-525 harness to P8 on Master Controller or
daisy-chains from a previous expansion module; P9 connects to P8s counterpart on the next expansion
module (if applicable).

Pin 1 = TDX (Transmit Data).
l
Pin 2 = COMMON.
l
Pin 3 = RCV (Receive Data).
l
Pin 4 = CODE (not used on Audio Board).
Terminal Blocks and Terminals
NOTE:
Except when otherwise noted, the terminal blocks are used only when the phone module functions as a
stand-alone unit.
TBl-1 thru TBl-6 = Phone Line Out and Phone Line Return terminals.

TBl-1 = + Phone Line Out.
l
TBl-2 = - Phone Line Out.
l
TBl-3 = SHIELD.
l
TBl-4 = + Phone Line Return.
l
TBl-5 = - Phone Line Return.
l
TBl-6 = SHIELD.
TBl-7 and TBl-8 = Network Output Terminals. If applicable, connects to TB2-3 and TB2-4 of another phone card,
or to a supervised phone relay in a 2120 system.
TB2 = Trouble terminals.
l
TB2-1 = Normally +24V. OV when phone line shorted.
l
TB2-2 = Normally +24V. OV when phone line open.
