P7 connects to P5 on the next lower priority amplifier or, if this is the lowest priority amplifier, to PI 0, PI 1 or PI 2 on
the Audio Controller Board.
l
Pin 1 = OV when amplifier is to output music. Otherwise, +24V.
l
Pins 2,4,6,8, and 10 = OV COMMON.
l
Pin 3 = +24V when Style Z (McCulloh) Relay on amplifier is being reset. Otherwise, OV.
l
Pin 5 = +2OV when backup amplifier is in use. Otherwise, +6V.
l
Pin 7 = +24V when amplifier is in trouble. Otherwise, OV.
l
Pin 9 = Normally +24V. OV when SWITCH-TO-BATTERY signal is present.
P6 = 6-pin Audio Input Signal connector. Connects via 733-578 harness to P9 of the Audio Controller Board, or
daisy-chains via 733-578 harness(es) to P6 on the backup amplifier (if applicable).
l
P6-1 and P6-4 = + Audio Input.
l
P6-2 and P6-5 = - Audio Input.
l
P6-3 and P6-6 = SHIELD.
P8 = 3-pin 24VDC Input Connector. Connects via 733-573 harness to P5 or P6 on the Amplifier Power Supply.
l
P8-1 = +24V.
l
P8-2 = OV.
l
P8-3 = Normally +24V. OV when SWITCH-TO-BATTERY signal present (during brownout or AC power outage).
P9 = 3-pin Audio Output Signal Connector. If a backup amplifier, connects via 733-579 harness to Connector P4
on the highest priority primary amplifier; if a primary amplifier, connects via 733-579 harness to Pins 1 thru 3
on the Signal Cards Audio Input Connector.
l
P9-1 = + Audio Output.
l
P9-2 = - Audio Output.
l
P9-3 = SHIELD.
PI 0 = 3-pin Audio Return Signal Connector. If a backup amplifier, connects via 733-579 harness to Connector P4
on the lowest priority primary amplifier; if a primary amplifier, connects via 733-579 harness to Pins 4 thru 6
on the Signal Cards Audio Input Connector.
l
PIO-1 = + Audio Return.
l
PI O-2 = - Audio Return.
l
PIO-3 = SHIELD.
PI 1 = 4-pin Transformer Primary/Secondary Connector.
l
Pl l-l = Transformer Primary (black).
l
PI1 -2 = Transformer Primary (brown).
l
Pl l-3 = Transformer Secondary (green).
l
PI l-4 = Transformer Secondary (white).
Terminal Block TBl
Used to input music or for Style Z Return (see Jumpers, J7, J8 or J9for this assembly).
l
TBI-1 = + Music Input or + Style Z Return.
l
TBI -2 = - Music Input or - Style Z Return.
lOO-WATT AMPLIFIER (562-907)
Features and Functions
The (562-907) loo-Watt Amplifier is a voice fire alarm audio amplifier that accepts a selectable input signal of either
1 V p-p or 70V p-p and produces an output signal capable of driving a loo-Watt load. The output signal level from
this amplifier is either 25VRMS (when used with the (478-296) 25V output transformer), or 70.7VRMS (when used
with the (478-300) 70V output transformer).
