6 Go back to the Lines Of Position dialog, press
the Line 2 key and repeat the procedure to
position a LOP from the mast
- The Lines Of Position dialog will now show
bearing for both lines
7 Adjust the bearing value to exactly match your
readings from the magnetic compass
8 As soon as possible, find a third object and
repeat the procedure for the third line
- If the vessel has moved between the different
line positioning, use the Transfer lines key to
re-position the two first lines
9 Press the Estimate key to let the CS system
calculate your position
10 Insert a position fix or move the vessel to the
estimate position by pressing the corresponding
key in the Lines Of Position dialog
If the range to the objects is known, enter distance instead of
bearing in the Lines Of Position dialog.
Active sensor must be set to Dead Reckoning to be able to move the
vessel to estimated position!
