6.4 Other vessels’ movement
Other vessels’ movement may be displayed in the chart by
connecting an AIS system or an ARPA radar to the CS66
system.
The different symbols for AIS and ARPA targets are as shown
below.
SYMBOL DESCRIPTION
Sleeping AIS target.
Symbol will indicate heading or COG if no heading is available.
Active AIS target with course extension line and turn indicator
Active AIS target with course extension line and velocity vector
Real ATON (Aids To Navigation)
Virtual ATON
AIS Search & Rescue transmitter (AIS Sart)
ARPA target Referenced
ARPA target Selected
ARPA target tracked
ARPA target with velocity vector and trail
