information.Youcaninserta“blankspace”toinhibitfalsedetectionsasthesensor
willdisregardallechoesreceivedfromobjectsinsidethedenedzone.Atypical
blankingzoneis1.5metresfromthesensortothebottomofthetrawldoor.
RemoteCode
RemoteGeometrymeasurementsaremadeusingone“master”sensorandtwo
“remote”sensors.
Communicationchannel
AllsensorsareprovidedbyKongsbergMaritimeASwithpredenedcommunication
channels.WheninterfacingaSRtypereceiverunit,eachsensorchannelcancontain5
measurements.
Itmayberequiredtochangeoneormorecommunicationchannels,andtheremaybe
manyreasonsforthis.
•Youhavemorethanoneofeachsensor.Ifyouhavetwoormorecatch
monitoringsensorsonboard,youneedtomakesuretheydonotusethesame
frequencyrange.Forexample,ifyouhavethreetemperaturesensors,theyMUST
communicateonthreedifferentchannels.
•Othervesselsnearyoursusethesamecatchmonitoringsystem(orsimilar)and
theyhaveoneormoreoftheirsensorssetuptothesamecommunicationchannels
asyouhave.Thiswillcreateinterferenceasyouwill“read”othersensors.
