Obtainingandinstallingthesoftwarelicense
BeforeyoucanusetheTV80softwareyoumustobtainalicenseandinstallitonyour
ProcessorUnit.
Prerequisites
ThisprocedureassumesthattheTV80operationalsoftwarehasbeensuccessfullyinstalled
ontheProcessorUnit.
Context
ThesoftwarelicenseislinkedtothephysicalProcessorUnit.YoucannotmovetheTV80
softwarefromonecomputertoanotherunlessyoualsorequestandinstallanewlicense.
InordertoobtainasoftwarelicenseyoumustcontactaSimraddealerordistributor.You
canalsousetherequestformonhttp://www.simrad.com/support,orcontactoursupport
departmentdirectly.
Note
Onceyoureceiveyoursoftwarelicensestring,donotloseit .Wesuggestthatyoucopythe
informationintoatextle(forexampleNotepad),andaddrelevantinformation.Placethe
textleontheProcessorUnitdesktop,andmakesurethatbackupcopiesaremade.
Procedure
1OntheProcessorUnitdesktop,double-clicktheTV80icontostarttheprogram.
2ObservethattheActivationdialogboxopens.
3Copytheactivationcodeprovided.
Note
Thisactivationcodewillonlyappearthersttimeyoustartanunlicensedversionof
theprogram.
4SendthenecessaryinformationtooneofSimrad'sdealersordistributors.
Yourdealerwillneedthefollowinginformationfromyoutoplacetheorder:
•Vesselnameandcallsign
•Vesseltype(trawler,purseseiner,etc.)
•Vesselowner'sname,addressandcontactinformation
•Activationcode
