Addinganewsensor
BeforethecatchmonitoringsensordatacanbereceivedanddisplayedontheTV80itmust
becongured.Whenyouwanttoputanewcatchmonitoringsensortouse,youneedtoadd
ittothesystem.Thesensormayormaynotneedtobecongured.
Prerequisites
Inordertoreadcatchmonitoringsensordata,youmustrstconnectoneormorereceiver
unitstotheProcessorUnit.Eachofthesereceiverscanreadtheinformationtransmittedby
thesensorsplacedonyourgear.
Ifcongurationisrequired,thenewsensormustbeconnectedtotheProcessorUnitwith
adedicatedinterfaceunitorcable.Ifthesensorismountedontheshinggear(thusnot
connectedtoaconguratorcable),ifitisaPI/ITItypesensor,orifthesensordatais
receivedviatheFScablebasedsystem,youcanstillcongurethesystemandthereceiver.
Context
CatchmonitoringsensorsaredeliveredfromKongsbergMaritimeASreadilysetupwith
commondefaultsettings.Whenrequired,eachindividualsensormaybeconguredto
specifyitscommunicationchannelandwhichmeasurementstomake.Thisisspecially
importantifyouwishtouseseveralsensorstooperateondifferentcommunicationchannels.
Thisisalsoimportanttoavoidinterferenceifseveralvesselsequippedwithidenticalcatch
monitoringsystemsareoperatingsimultaneouslyinthesamearea.
TheAddNewSensordialogboxstartsa"wizard"thatpermitsyoutoselectthespeciccatch
monitoringsensoryouwanttoputtouse.Ifnecessary,the"wizard"providesthenecessary
congurationfunctionality.
Note
TheTV80onlyallowsyoutocongurePXsensors.Ifyouwishtouseoldersensors(notPX
family),thesemustbeconguredusingtheirdedicatedapplicationsbefore youaddthem.
Ifyournewsensorhasalreadybeencongured,youdonotneedtorepeattheconguration
processtouseit.
