TheTV80cansendandreceiveinformationtoandfromseveraldifferentperipherals.All
transmissionstakeplaceasdatagramswithdatasentences.Eachdatagramhasadened
formatandlength.
TheNMEA0183standardisthemostcommonprotocolusedtoreceiveandtransmitdatato
andfromperipheralsensors.AparametricsentencestructureisusedforallNMEAdata.
Thesentencestartwitha“$”delimiter,andrepresentthemajorityofapprovedsentences
denedbythestandard.Thissentencestructure,withdelimitedanddeneddatales,isthe
preferredmethodforconveyinginformation.
