AllsensorsareprovidedbyKongsbergMaritimeASwithadefaultupdateratesetting.In
somecasesyoumayndthatthisupdateratedoesnotsuityouroperationalneeds.This
parametershowshowoftenyoucanexpecttoreceiveinformationfromthesensor.A
fasterupdaterategivesyouinformationmoreoften,butwilldecreasethebatterylife.

optionsare“Fast”,“Normal”and“Slow”.Theupdaterateismeasuredinseconds.
“Fast”isthefastestpossibleupdateratefortheselectedmeasurements.“Normal”is2
timesslowerand“Slow”is3timesslower.Theupdateratedependsonthetypeof
measurementyouhaveselectedandhowmanymeasurementsthesensoristransmitting.
WhenconguringaPXTrawlEye
,theupdateratevaluereferstothetimebetweeneach
updatefromtheTrawlEye.Theoptionsare0.5s,1s,2s,4sor8sbeing1sthedefault
value.Whentowingsloworonschoolsofsh,youcanselect2soraslowervalueto
increasebatterylife.Whentowingat3ktsorfasteroronsingletargetsh,1supdate
rateisrecommended.

Outputpowerisrelatedtothesignalcomingfromthesensorgoingtothevessel.Together
withupdaterate,outputpowerhasthebiggestimpactinthebatteryconsumption.
Werecommendyoutondthelowestoutputpowerthatgivessatisfactorysignalto
increaseusagebetweencharging.
