Malfunction Possible cause Remedy

NAMUR sensor:
- Inductive NAMUR sensor connected incorrectly
- Inductive NAMUR sensor defective
Establish connection of the inductive NAMUR sensor
Replace inductive NAMUR sensor
For metering device design with upstream direc-
tional control valve:
Programming for directional control valve connec-
tion incorrect
Electrical connection for directional control valve
connected incorrectly:
Directional control valve defective
Check customer programming
Establish connection of the directional control valve
Send metering device to SKF to replace directional control valve
No lubricant at lu-
brication points
Damaged lubricant line, detectable only by visual
inspection and significant lubricant discharge.
Replace the lubricant line
Use only grease-filled SKF original spare lines on grease progressive systems.
Perform start-up and functional inspection.
Mechanical damage,
Pinching and sharp bends are blocking the grease
flow
Remedy physical damage
Check grease flow, remedy any faults
Check the lubricant supply
Check grease supply in the lubricant reservoir, refill if necessary.
Start-up, functional inspection
Trigger interim lubrication.
