must be parked in a safe place, away from the trail. Always
lift the front of vehicle off the ground with a suitable lifting de-
vice before adjusting ski suspension. Lift t he rear of v ehicle
off th e gro und w ith a w ide -ba se snowmobile s ta nd with a re ar
deflector panel before rear suspension adjustment.

Do not attempt to lift the vehicle by hand alone. Use appropri-
ate lifting devic e to avoid r isk of stra in in juries. Always mak e
sur e the lifting device is stable and secur e before pro ceeding
to adjust the suspension components.

Slight suspension bottoming occurring under the worst riding condi-
tions indicates a good choice of spring preload.
N O TE: S ome models may come from factory equipped with
Take/Apart (T/A ) shocks. These can be rebuilt or recalibrated. See
an authorized SKI-DOO dealer.
Rear Springs — Comfort
IMP ORTANT: Make sure th at all obj ec ts to be transported are in
place in storage c ompartmen t and rear ra ck.
• Grab rear bumper and lift until suspension is fully extended.
• From this point , rear of snowmobile should collapse by 50 to
75 mm (2 to 3 in) when driver and passenger (if so applicable)
take place. Meas ure at rear bumper as shown in next illustra-
tion.
