Lift rear of snowmobile and support it with a wide-base snowmobile
mechanical stand.
Allow the suspension to extend normally and check gap halfway be-
tween front and rear idler wheels. M easure between slider shoe
bottom and inside of t rack. The gap should be as given in SPECIFI -
CATIO N S at the end of this guide. If the track tension is too loose,
track will have a tendency to thump.
N O TE: A belt tension tester (P/N 414 348 200) may be used to mea-
sure defle ctio n a s wel l as force appli ed.

1. Top tool O-ring positioned at 7.3 kg (16 lb)
2. Push on top portion of tool until it contacts the top O-ring
3. Measured track deflection
