What to do if the SMA Cluster Controller does not send any data to the external FTP server?
    • M
      Mark TaylorSep 12, 2025
If the Cluster Controller isn't sending data to the external FTP server, ensure that there is enough storage space available on the FTP server. Also, ensure that the login data for the FTP server are correct and that the "Append" function is activated in the FTP server.

Why is an incorrect total number of connected inverters shown on the user interface or the display of my SMA Controller?
    • Q
      qdonaldsonSep 9, 2025
An incorrect total number of connected inverters might be displayed because communication with at least one inverter is disturbed. Either the Cluster Controller has not yet registered with one or more inverters, or the connection to one or more inverters has been interrupted. Wait six minutes and check again whether the correct number of all connected inverters is displayed. Ensure that the inverters are in operation. Ensure that the network cables that connect the inverters with one another are correctly connected. Ensure that the network cable of the inverter connected directly to the Cluster Controller is connected to network port X9 or X10 of the Cluster Controller. Ensure that no network components, network cables or connectors are defective.

What to do if the SMA Cluster Controller does not send any data to Sunny Portal?
    • T
      Tiffany OliverSep 8, 2025
If the Cluster Controller isn't sending data to Sunny Portal, it might be due to incorrectly configured data transmission. If the Cluster Controller is not yet registered in Sunny Portal, register it. Also check the settings for Sunny Portal and test the connection to Sunny Portal.

Why does the login page not open for my SMA Network Hardware?
    • H
      hcameronAug 23, 2025
The login page might not open due to several reasons. First, ensure the patch cable is correctly connected to the Cluster Controller. Then, check for any defective or damaged network components, patch cables, or plug connectors and replace them if necessary. Also, verify the network settings of all network components and adjust them if required. As an additional step, you can restart the Cluster Controller by disconnecting it from the voltage supply and reconnecting it. Note that this can lead to loss of plant data.

What to do if the login page does not open on SMA Controller and there is a problem in the LAN?
    • M
      Matthew LeeSep 5, 2025
If the login page doesn't open and there is a problem in the LAN, ensure that the network cables are correctly connected to the Cluster Controller. Check whether the network components, network cables or connectors are defective or damaged and replace them if needed. Also, verify the network settings of the individual network components and adapt them if required. As a last resort, restart the Cluster Controller by disconnecting it from the voltage supply and reconnecting it. Note that this can lead to loss of system data.
