Configuring the Inverter Using the
SolarEdge Configuration Tool
Two options are provided for configuring the system:
Using the LCD panel, as described in this guide.
Using the SolarEdge configuration tool, which provides a standard Windows
GUI. This tool can be accessed by connecting a computer or laptop to the
inverter through the RS232 connector.
The communication board may also include a mini-USB connector. If it does,
you may connect the laptop directly to this connector
This tool provides several additional options than are not accessible using the
LCD manual, such as enabling a firmware upgrade of the inverter and
retrieving a list of the serial numbers of the power optimizers connected to
the inverter for quickly verifying that all power optimizers have been
installed properly. You may refer to the SolarEdge Configuration Tool
Software Guide.
