4-6. Initial Settings (Be sure to perform these preparatory operations before use.)

The initial settings can be performed by one of the following
two methods.
AUTO (Collective automatic settings): Code input according
to a code table (See P.137 and 138.)
MANUAL (Individual item settings): Setting using the display
(See the configuration on P.124.)
The initial settings should be performed separately for the
“main unit” and the “expansion unit”.
Initial setting mode
The initial setting display mode results in the following cases.
1 When the power is turned on while depressing
RESET
2 When the power is first turned on (when the initial settings
have not been made)
3 When stored data has been lost (resetting the initial
settings)
4 When expansion units have been added or removed, or
when the scale unit type has been changed
5 When the “power-on display mode” is set to the initial
setting mode by the initial settings*
* The display when the power is turned on can be selected from the
“initial setting status” and “normal count” displays.
The various initial settings can either be set individually or
input collectively.
