Thank you for purchasing the Sony Video Cassette Recorder (VCR).
Here are some of the features you'll enjoy with your VCR:
Optimum Picture Control (OPC) (SLV-436EE)/ Adaptive Picture
Control (APC) (SLV-X711ME/SLV-X711PS/SLV-X711SG), that
automatically optimises recording and playback performance
Dynamic Signal Filter (DSF) that boosts and stabilises signals
Dual Mode Shuttle (DMS) ring for easy playback and search
operations
Compatible colour systems
This VCR is designed to record and play back using the PAL,
MESECAM, and NTSC colour systems. Recording of video sources
based on other colour systems cannot be guaranteed.
NTSC colour signals can only be recorded through the line input.
The instructions in this manual are for the SLV-436EE, SLV-X711ME,
SLV-X711PS, and SLV-X711SG. Check your model number by looking
at the rear panel of your VCR.
The SLV-X711ME is the model used for illustration purposes. Any
difference in operation is clearly indicated in the text, for example,
“SLV-X711PS only.”
