To adjust Pan Sensor (cont.)
1. Gently push the “U” spring over the head of the bolt to release the Pan Sensor arm from being
meshed with the ring gear.
2. Manually turn the sensor gear fully CCW till it reaches the end stop of the pot.
(Do this with care, so that the pot is not damaged).
3. Manually turn the units head fully CCW until the end stop is engaged.
4. Ensure that the sensor unit out of the way and is not altered whilst doing this.
5. Refit the sensor arm by first locating the pivot end, then with the sensor gear correctly meshed
into the ring gear, replace the “U” spring over the head of the bolt.
The sensor gear should be meshed with a small amount of backlash to the main ring gear. This is to
ensure that the minimum of side load is applied to the potentiometer assembly.
Adjusting the Pan Gearbox
The Pan gearbox and clutch assembly is factory set and therefore should not need any adjustment in
normal use. If you suspect they need adjustment, please call for Technical Support or refer to a
qualified engineer before attempting to make any alterations to the unit.
