6.8 Smart Energy Meter Connection
The inverter is equipped with the feed-in power limit function, so as to meet the requirements
of some national standards or grid standards for the output power at the grid connection
point. The export control functionality has not been tested to AS/NZS 4777.2:2020. For the
setting of feed-in power limit, refer to the section "8.5.1 Feed-in Limitation".
Contact SUNGROW to ensure that the Smart Energy Meter model is available
locally.
This section mainly describes the cable connections on the inverter side. Refer to
the quick guide delivered with the Smart Energy Meter for the connections on the
meter side.
The energy meter is mainly used to detect the direction and magnitude of the cur-
rent. And the energy meter data may not be used for billing purposes.
Procedure
For detailed connection description of the Smart Energy Meter cable, refer to the section
"6.7.3 RS485 Connection".
If the Smart Energy Meter DTSU666 is used (provided in the box), please connect Pin24
on the meter to Pin A2 on the inverter and Pin 25 on the meter to Pin B2 on the inverter.
For SH5.0–10RT-20, please connect Pin A on the smart energy meter DTSU666–20 to
Pin A2 on the inverter and Pin B on the meter to Pin B2 on the inverter.
