4) Remove the hot starter valve (3) and spring (4) from
the hot starter cable.
5) Remove the hot starter cable (5) from its lever.
Installation
Install the starter cable in the reverse order of removal.
Pay attention to the following points:
• Install the starter cable as shown in the cable routing
diagram. Refer to “Throttle Cable Routing Diagram”
(Page 1D-2).
• Install the spring (1) and hot starter valve (2) to the hot
starter cable.
• Connect the hot starter cable (3) to the lever.
• Apply grease to the end of starter cable.
: Grease 99000–25010 (SUZUKI SUPER
GREASE “A” or equivalent)
• Check that the hot starter lever moves smoothly from
full open to full close.
• Inspect the hot starter lever clearance. Refer to “Hot
Starter Lever Clearance Inspection and Adjustment”
in Section 0B (Page 0B-13).
