3) Check the continuity between Bl and B lead wires
with the transmission in neutral.

: 09900–25008 (Multi circuit tester set)

Continuity test ( )
4) Connect the gear position switch lead wire coupler to
the wiring harness.
5) Insert the needle-point probes to the lead wire
coupler.
6) Turn on the ignition switch.
7) Measure the voltage between P and B/W lead wires
using the multi circuit tester when shifting the
gearshift lever from 1st to top.

(A): 09900–25008 (Multi circuit tester set)
(B): 09900–25009 (Needle-point probe set)

0.6 V and more ((+) P – (–) B/W)
8) Turn off the ignition switch.
9) Install the removed parts.
