13) Remove the kick starter guide (19).
Installation
Install the kick starter in the reverse order of removal.
Pay attention to the following points:
• Install the kick starter guide (1) and tighten the bolt to
the specified torque.
Tightening torque
Kick starter guide bolt (a): 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0
lbf-ft)
• Install the kick starter drive gear (2), washer (3) and
snap ring (4) onto the kick starter shaft.
CAUTION
!
Replace the snap ring (4) with a new one.
Special tool
: 09900–06107 (Snap ring remover (Open
type))
• Install the spring guide (5) onto the kick starter shaft.
NOTE
Align the concave of spring guide “A” with
kick starter hole “B”.
• Install the return spring (6) into the kick starter shaft
hole.
• Aligning the truncated spines “C” and “D”, install the
kick starter (7) to the kick starter shaft.
