Conventions
To enhance the usability and clarity of this Guide, the following conventions are used to
delineate specific types of information that are of importance to the user:
Warnings
Warnings are used to present information or describe conditions that if not observed could
potentially result in bodily injury:

Cautions
Cautions are used to highlight a condition or action that could result in equipment damage or
loss of traffic:

Notes
Notes are used to point out something of special interest or importance to the user. Failure to
read the note will not result in physical harm to the user, equipment or traffic:

Note: When powering the DNX-11 from a DC power source, use two separate fuse panels or
a fuse panel with redundant (A and B) fuse positions.
ESD Cautions
ESD Cautions remind the user that a particular module is sensitive to Electrostatic Discharge:

WARNING
If there is already a power supply installed and power is applied, use extreme
care when accessing the inside of the unit.
CAUTION
Always use the card ejector to seat and unseat a module. Pushing or pulling on
the edge of the circuit card may cause damage to the module.
ESD CAUTION
DNX system components contain electrostatic-sensitive circuits.
Before handling DNX components, wear an anti-static wrist
strap connected to frame ground to prevent damage to circuits
from electrostatic discharge.
