Separating the Signal from Noise
Now you want to analyze the signal shape and ignore the noise. To reduce random noise in the oscilloscope display:
1. Push Acquire.
2. Push Mode.

3. Push Average on the side menu.
Average
Averaging reduces random noise and makes it
easier to see detail in a signal. In the example
to the rig
ht, a ring shows on the rising and falling
edges of the signal when the noise is removed.
